You're invited to come out and see what makes our farm so special!
There is something very grounding about venturing out to the farm, meeting the animals and maybe even getting your hands a little dirty.
We love giving our community the opportunity to see how the animals are raised and see what goes into the creation of healing food.
If you are a long-time TF supporter or are simply curious about how we do things, I invite you to come out and see everything first-hand! We are limiting the participants in each tour to make for an incredible experience.
See our lush green pastures, hear and see all the wildlife our farm indirectly supports, and see how we prioritize health and happiness every step of the way!
You will see a real working pasture-based farm in action. We will explain how we rotate our cattle through about a hundred acres of lush pasture (and why they are the easiest); you'll see baby lambs frolicking and nursing, born just a week or two prior to the tour; Stephanie will show you the pigs and explain why we have a love/hate relationship with them (they are the hardest); there are crazy chickens and dogs of all shapes and sizes; you'll see how we handle winter; we'll give you a brief history of the farm and what we've been through as well as the future of the farm and where we are going. Even though meat is our focus, Stephanie tends to be easily distracted by wild edibles so you may learn about a few wild vegetables/herbs/berries too - some may even be growing in your yard!
Come prepared to learn and ask questions!
Tour is expected to last about 1.5 - 2 hours, but this depends on the number of questions and what fruit is ripe. :)
We are in the beautiful driftless region of Wisconsin so please be aware that we will be climbing some hills and walking a lot! Besides this, cow pies do not feel very good squishing up between your toes so my personal experience would advise you to not wear flip-flops. :)
Please arrive 15-20 minutes early. Drive and park here: w93 Norden Rd., Mondovi, WI 54755 (you will see our farm sign at the end of the driveway).
Tour will happen rain or shine so bring whatever you need to be comfortable. There is no cost for the tour, RSVP appreciated but not required!
